Detailed Description

A GeoLocation represents a location and orientation on the globe.

It allows you to convert local coordinates into georeferenced coordinates using an affine 3D transformation.

The local Z-axis is the up direction, and will be mapped as perpendicular to the Earth. The local XY-plane is mapped tangentially to the Earth's ellipsoidal surface.

With an azimuth of 0, the local Y-axis is mapped to the north direction, and the local X-axis to the east direction (both still tangential to the Earth). This is commonly also referred to as an ENU (East-North-Up) projection.

Member Function Documentation

◆ getHash()

size_t luciad::GeoLocation::getHash ( ) const

Returns the hash of this GeoLocation.

Returns
the hash of this GeoLocation.

◆ getLocalOrigin()

const Coordinate & luciad::GeoLocation::getLocalOrigin ( ) const

Returns the point in the local reference that, once transformed, will correspond to the target location.

Returns
the point in the local reference that, once transformed, will correspond to the target location.

◆ getMatrix()

const Matrix4x4 & luciad::GeoLocation::getMatrix ( ) const

Returns the transformation matrix.

You can use this matrix to transform from points in the local reference, to points in the target reference.

Returns
the transformation matrix.

◆ getTargetLocation()

const std::shared_ptr< Point > & luciad::GeoLocation::getTargetLocation ( ) const

Returns the target location to which the local origin will be transformed.

Note: this Point does not necessarily have the same reference as the target reference. For example, it is possible that the GeoLocation's target reference is geocentric, and the target location is expressed in longitude/latitude/height.

Returns
the target location to which the local origin will be transformed.

◆ getTargetReference()

const std::shared_ptr< CoordinateReference > & luciad::GeoLocation::getTargetReference ( ) const

Returns the target reference of this transformation.

This is the reference in which the points returned by Matrix4x4::transformPoint are defined.

Note: this reference is not necessarily the same as the target location's reference. For example, it is possible that the GeoLocation's target reference is geocentric, and the target location is expressed in longitude/latitude/height.

Returns
the target reference of this transformation.

◆ newBuilder()

Builder luciad::GeoLocation::newBuilder ( )
static

Creates a new builder.

Returns
a new builder.

◆ operator!=()

bool luciad::GeoLocation::operator!= ( const GeoLocation & other) const

◆ operator==()

bool luciad::GeoLocation::operator== ( const GeoLocation & other) const
