This package implements the UML conceptual schema defined in ISO19139:2007, paragraph 7.4.4.2. It contains the implementation of the UnitDefinition class. Figure 70 illustrates the encoding. gml:UnitDefinition, gml:BaseUnit, gml:DerivedUnit and gml:ConventionalUnit are extended to support multilingual items. The new multilingual types gmx:ML_CodeDefinition and gmx:ML_CodeListDictionary follow the regular extension mechanism described in 9.8.6. The uomItem.xsd schema also contains the declaration of gmx:UomAlternativeExpression, which specializes the type of the “alternativeExpression” property. Figure 71 illustrates the encoding.
