A Collada file (
.dae) represents a 3D model such as a building, a bridge, …​ .
It does not contain any information about where that 3D model is located on the Earth.
Therefore, LuciadLightspeed cannot open Collada files directly. To visualize Collada data, you need to use a KML file:
The KML file specifies the location of the 3D model, e.g. by specifying a point.
The KML uses the Collada data as style for the point.
