A GRIB file can contain multiple data sources. After crawling, the Data tab in LuciadFusion Studio shows those data sources as separate data entries. The crawling process also adds identically named index files with .gbx9 and .ncx3 extensions to the file directory of the GRIB file.

To re-crawl a GRIB file that was updated without a change in its filename:

  1. Manually delete the .gbx9 and .ncx3 files from the GRIB file directory.
You must delete those files so that LuciadFusion can determine what data source changes happened.

  2. Crawl the GRIB file again in LuciadFusion.

When LuciadFusion re-crawls an updated GRIB file, it takes these actions:

  • It no longer shows removed data sources in the Data tab in LuciadFusion Studio, and automatically removes usages of these data sources inside Products.

  • It shows added data sources in the Data tab in LuciadFusion Studio. It’s up to you to include them in Products.

  • It keeps listing updated data sources in the Data tab in LuciadFusion Studio, and in the Products in which they were used. LuciadFusion automatically takes into account the data source updates.
